Deliveries

Deliveries of Soundproofing Materials can be complicated due to the weight and sizes. Our website system can’t always be 100% accurate especially if numerous different items are bought at the same time. We will be in contact if there is any additional charge on delivery. We do not want to make a profit of deliveries and will always strive to send the materials to our clients in the most cost-effective manner.  Please ring us on 012 5879 5008 if you have any questions.

Please note most deliveries will arrive on large truck. Please make us aware if there is any restriction. Failure to do so might result in an redelivery charge. 

Please note deliveries are curbside only. 

If in doubt, please ring us and we can discuss the most cost-effective way of delivering your products.

Rough Guideline on delivery fees: (All cost excluding VAT)

Small  Items  - £20 - Delivered via parcell company
Single pallets up to 1000kg - £60 – Delivered via pallet networks on a tail lift truck
Double Pallets – 1.8m or 2,4m in length - £100.00
Floor Decks – 2,4m lengths - £150.00 – This is normally delivered on Artic Lorry (Please ensure that there is labour to off load) Special request can be made for Moffit offload and there will be an extra charge for this. 
Non Mainland - Scottish Deliveries will carry an aditional charge. Our sales team will be in contact if standard palet cost was chosen at checkout. Please contact us before placing ordering and we can create a custom delivery charge and advise on lead times.
Deliveries to Northern Ireland - Additional costs will aplpy and client needs to provide an EORI number. More information HERE 

Delivery Schedule:

• Please add a preffered delivery date in Order Notes. These will be adhered to wherever possible, but cannot always be guaranteed.

• The delivery date will be confirmed with the confirmation that the order has been placed and paid for

• Delivery access - Orders may be delivered in lorries of up to 28 tons. Therefore, it is important that your property is accessible by such vehicles. Please notify of any restrictions ragrding vehicle size.

• Please do not arrange to have a tradesman on site until after your goods have arrived and you have checked them (we will not pay your tradesman's costs in the event that the goods have arrived late, been damaged in transit or are not suitable for any reason).

• Any delivery dates or periods quoted by the Company are estimates only, given in good faith and the Company shall not be liable for any loss or damages whether direct or consequential resulting from any failure to meet such delivery dates or periods. All goods shall be delivered to the Purchaser's premises in the United Kingdom and risk in the goods shall pass on such delivery. Goods offered from stock are offered subject to their still being available when the Purchaser's order is received.

• Some products may carry an additional carriage charge** , even when the website offers a free delivery. This may be due to the specific product ordered, its weight and size and also if the product needs to be ordered in directly from manufacturer. In some cases, we have to send an order out via our pallet network and this again will carry an additional carriage charge. Once your order has been placed via our website and there is an additional delivery charge SPS will contact you to inform you and give you the choice to proceed or cancel your order.

• SPS also use a pallet network to deliver items to our customers. We can offer a next day delivery or 2-3 day ECO delivery options. We would advise customers to be in when the delivery is arranged as we cannot leave any orders outside or without a signature. Re delivery cost will apply if the customer is not in and we need to arrange an alternative date to re-deliver.

•  The haulier drivers are on a tight schedule and cannot wait around for longer than the drop off period outside your property max wait 15 minutes.

•  We always ask our haulier to ask their drivers to contact our clients prior to delivery to give you an ETA but this does not always happen. Therefore, please be available on the day specified to you to take your delivery as soon as they arrive

• Please ensure you do not sign and accept delivery for any damaged consignments.  Before signing for your products please ensure you are happy with the goods. When you sign for delivery you are accepting the product, quantity and the condition they have been delivered to you. In the unfortunate event that you aren't happy with the products quality, quantity or it's been damaged in transit please take photos and make us aware within 24 hours.

• We rely upon the services of third-party couriers, and whilst we endeavour to always deliver in a timely manner there are unfortunately a few occasions when the couriers fail to deliver on the appointed day. This happens rarely, but because it does occur, albeit occasionally, we cannot be held responsible for the late delivery of an item, or any costs incurred by customers tradesman unable to work, please ensure you have your materials before booking in any trades.

• All deliveries are made Monday - Friday between 07:00 and 18:00. 

• Next Day, Saturday or AM deliveries available on request.

** The following items will carry an aditional £40 excluding VAT delivery charge – Sheet materials (Plasterboards) over 1.8meter, Resilient Bars (3 meters) Furring Channels (1,8m and 2,4meter)
*** Floating Floor systems (Hush decks and other floor decks will be charged at £150 ex VAT per pallet

Standard Delivery Charge:

• Most orders with a sales value of over £5000.00 (excluding VAT) will be Free within the UK with the exception of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Channel Islands. Some items may carry an additional carriage charge. Please feel free to contact SPS at any time should you wish to discuss carriage charges before ordering.

• Orders with a sales value of £5000.00 or less (excluding VAT) will be charged a agreed delivery charge through both parties.

• When collecting items in store we will try and offer a small discount on orders over £400.00 (excluding VAT).

Standard Terms of Delivery: 

• All orders must be signed for on delivery. No exceptions made

• An additional charge of £60.00 + VAT per pallet will be made if orders have to be redelivered.

• The purchaser must ensure that there is reasonable access to the delivery site. If this is not available an additional charge may be made. Please note that some deliveries might be made in large delivery trucks

• Deliveries are curb side drops only. Please make sure there will be two parties to accept deliveries as the drivers do not carry items inside any properties.
